Once you have figured out that you are at risk for diabetes, the next step is to get your blood glucose tested. Medicare covers the cost of this blood test for most seniors who are age 65 and older.
You can get a blood test for diabetes from a doctor or other health care provider. Make sure that Medicare is accepted.
The next time you see a health care provider, mention that you think you are at risk for diabetes and would like to be tested. Your health care provider will know what to do.
