The MDSP pilot in Minnesota was started in the last quarter of 2008.  Minnesota’s screening rates have been among the highest in the country, with a 25.5% rate of screening in 2008. Even with this success, there is still much work to be done!

As one of the organizations who co-chair the Medicare Diabetes Screening Project, the American Diabetes Association (ADA), has been extremely helpful in spreading our message to seniors throughout Minnesota. The ADA is the premier source of research, information and advocacy on diabetes. Here are some of the many ways we have worked together:
